Blog #9 Why arent we ALL equal?

 

  As I watched the two films, “ Food” and “ Fresh” . This image stood out to me. What made me get drawn was in the movies we did learn about how animals were being raised and treated on the farms by the owners. In this image its saying “ Some animals are more equal than others.”  What this means to me is in the films we learned about chickens, cows, and pigs but never discussed other  animals on the farms. I’m not saying we should torture the other animals, but I feel as if all animals should be treated equally, why are certain animals being chosen as “ edible .”  All animals should be treated respectfully and nurtured just like a horse or a dog. Its unfair seeing cows and pigs specifically mistreated for human liking, it makes me disgusted to say the least. After comprehending the propaganda ad and watching the films, I understand completely why people go vegetarian.
